The BSA plans to implement a scholarship program that will provide financial assistance to eligible members of the Association for travel and lodging expenses directly related to their participation in BSA conferences and other BSA-sponsored educational events. Scholarships may also include a waiver of event registration fees.

Information about the scholarship program, including guidelines, application form, statistical reports, and event-specific information, will be accessible to BSA members and the public via the Association’s website. All events for which scholarship funds are available will be publicized in the Association’s newsletter and events calendar.

A committee designated by the Board of Directors will review all scholarship applications and abide by the Association's conflict of interest policy when awarding scholarship funds. All personal information provided to or otherwise determined by the committee, including the financial status of each applicant and identity of each scholarship recipient, will be maintained in strict confidence by the committee and the Association.
